Induction of New Rotarian

On 14th September 2004 our Rotary Club of Port Klang inducted our 26th Member into the club. Rotarian Ang Chin Kheng was introduced by our Club's Secretary, Rotarian Johnson Wey Yong Seng. Rotarian Ang is a Civil Engineer by profession and is loan the Classification of Contruction - Turnkey Project . Rtn Ang comes in as the youngest Rotarian in our club, his age is on the right side of thirty and is married to Ann Valerie who is a teacher. They have 2 sons and a daughter. Apart from Rotary, Rtn Ang is also actively involved in a number of other associations. We welcome Rtn Ang and Rotary Ann Valerie into the Family of Rotary.

Interact Leadership Training Seminar and New Board Installation

Interact Leadership Training Seminar (ILTS) was conducted on 24/9/2004 at SMK Dato' Hamzah. Total 22 Interactors from SMK Raja Lumu, SMK Dato' Hamzah and SMK Pandamaran Jaya attended the seminar. Roles of Board of Director was presented by President Michael, while PP Kuah talk on 'Goal Setting', Rtn. Liyen talk on 'Public Speaking'. Both Interact Clubs from SMK Raja Lumu and SMK Dato' Hamzah conducted the installation of BOD after the seminar.

                 

Sister Club Signing with RC Macau Islands

RC Port Klang exchanging Clubs' bannerettes with RC Macau Islands after signing Sister Clubs' Agreement. Representing RC Macau Islands were Rtn. Mildred Hoi, representing RC Port Klang were PP Kumar. Withnessing the signing ceremony are AG PP Bala and President Michael Tan. Visiting Rotarian Mildred Hoi, International Service Director, also made a presentation with beautiful capture of events and sceneries, on 'An Overview of Macau Islands'.

Twin Club Signing with Rotary eClub of 3310

Signing of Twin Club Agreement with Rotary eClub of 3310 and RC Port Klang was conducted at Hilton Hotel, KL Sentral on 3/12/2004. It was witness by 5 Rotarians from Singapore; and representing our club were VP Eric Wong, PP Kumar, PP Kuah, Rtn. Boon Chui and Rtn. Johnson Wey.

        

Vocational Excellent Service Award Presentation and Centennial Twin Club Project

RC Port Klang's Vocational Excellent Service Crystal Trophy was awarded to Sister Marie Therese Ng of Educare Learning Centre for empowering the poor and marginalised children of squatters' families through education and healthcare. RC Port Klang also announced that a joint project between RC Port Klang and RC Macau Islands, amounting to RM2,000.00 for a Library Project was awarded to Educare Learning Centre on 7/12/2004.
